Belgium Open Poker Championships
From 21 till 29 November 2009 Casino de Namur.
(Attention, a postponement from a week is possible in function of other European poker tournaments)

 Tournament

The « Belgium Open Poker Championships » is a tournament that takes place in the casino of Namur from 21 till 29 November 2009 (there is a possibility to move the final to Spa or to postpone the tournament with 1 week due other European poker tournaments)
At the end of the tournament, the winner of the tournament will be declared as a Belgian Champion.
The game type of the tournament is No Limit Texas Hold’em, 1500+200€ freezeout.
There are no rebuys and no add-on.
The maximum numbers of players is 1000
Different qualification tournaments will take place in the casino of Spa and Namur.
Each qualification tournament is played with the game type No Limit Texas Hold’em with different type of buy-ins
40 € (30€+10€) unlimited re-buy (1h00) + 1 add-on.
60 € (50 € +10€) unlimited re-buy (1h00) + 1 add-on.
110 € (100 € +10€) unlimited re-buy (1h00) + 1 add-on.
110 € (100 € +10€) 1 re-buy + 1 add-on.
110 € (100 € +10€) freezout
210 € (200 € +10€) + 1 re-buy
210 € (200 € +10€) freezout
310 € (300 € +10€) freezout

The maximum number of players for each qualification tournament is 200 (in the beginning this will be 120, like last year, and we will adjust this according to demand.)

 Date and time

The qualification tournaments that take place in Namur:
Each Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday starting February 1st (probably 1 time per week in the beginning and 2-3 times thereafter according to demand)
Starting November 1st, every day.

The qualification tournaments that take place in Spa:
Each Thursday starting February 1st (probably 1 time per month in the beginning and 2 times per month – every Thursday thereafter according to demand)
In function of other obligations of the casino is it possible that some dates will be changed.

 Subscription

The subscription is made up in 2 parts

For the qualification tournaments The subscription is X€ + 10€i
The X€ will be distributed in the prize money and the 10€ will be given back in a real-moneychip. It is a tradition that these real-moneychips are given to the dealers before the start of the game. A tip-box is foreseen for this. This tip constitutes the salary of our staff, that is mainly paid thanks to your generosity. (The total of the tip-box will be noted on a C1). These real-moneychips can also be used at our traditional gaming tables or they can be exchanged at the cashier.
93% from the prizepool will be paid out in tournament tikets for the final with a value of 1700€ each. The other 7% is the result for the casino and will be noted on a special C1 “Poker tournament”.

For the final the subscription is 1500+200€ and is distributed as followed
- buy-in: 1500€
- Fixed sum softdrink 30€. When you don’t want to participate with this option (free entrance to our softdrinkbar in the tournament area) then you can ask a refund only on the first day of the final before the beginning of the game (till 14h)
- Organization costs 120€
- Voluntary tip of 50€ in real-moneychips.. It is a tradition that these real-moneychips are given to the dealers before the start of the game. A tip-box is foreseen for this. This tip constitutes the salary of our staff, that is mainly paid thanks to your generosity. (The total of the tip-box will be noted on a C1). These real-moneychips can also be used at our traditional gaming tables or they can be exchanged at the cashier.
- 93% from the prizepool will be paid out in cash. The other 7% is the result for the casino and will be noted on a special C1 “Poker tournament”.

 Late arrivals

Players that have paid their buy-in but don’t arrive in time before the first hand will be seated with a chipstack and all the mandatory bets will be taken from their chipstack until they have no chips left.
There is no possibility in getting a refund once the tournament had begun.
